    1. The eatwithUS and Hospitality Reward Card scheme is operated by Accommodation and Commercial Services department ( 'ACS' ) within The University of Sheffield. The following terms and conditions relate to the eatwithUS Reward Card and Hospitality Card (referred to as the 'card') for the collection and redemption of reward points at various ACS outlets operating within the University of Sheffield. Use of the Card will constitute acceptance of these Terms and Conditions.

    2. 1. Eligibility and how to obtain an eatwithUS Reward or Hospitality Card

      Applicants must reside in the UK and be aged 16 or over.
      The card is free of charge and can be obtained by joining the eatwithUS or Hospitality Schemes. It is not a credit or charge card and remains the property of The University of Sheffield.
      You must register your card in order to redeem points. Registration can be done online via a simple application form, please visit https://rewards.sheffield.ac.uk/rewards or, if you do not have access to a computer, please contact us at the address at the bottom of these terms and conditions.
      You are only permitted to register one card.
      You may cancel your card at any time but if you do so, you will forfeit the right to any points that have accumulated on the card that have not been used. We may ask you to return the card or to destroy it in accordance with our instructions.
      The Card must not be sold or traded in any way.
      The card is your responsibility whilst it is in your possession. We cannot be held responsible for unauthorised use of the card or for any points lost as a result of failure by you to keep the card safe. Photocopies of cards will not be accepted.
      Please notify us of any lost or stolen Cards at the address at the bottom of these Terms and Conditions.

    3. 2. Your Reward points

      Reward points can be accrued and redeemed against certain purchases made in participating outlets.
      Points cannot be accrued on the following purchases: alcoholic drinks, tobacco, tobacco related products, infant milks, postage stamps, newspapers, lottery tickets, National Games and scratch cards, Paypoint, Payzone, any E Top Up, cash-back or products excluded by law. Other items may also be excluded from attracting points at some or all participating outlets at the discretion of The University of Sheffield.
      The points will be earned at the time of purchase, provided the card is presented at the point of sale, before any payment is made. If the reward machine is not working, you will still able to accrue points but will not be able to redeem points against the current transaction.
      If you do not have your card with you, you will be unable to collect points on your purchase as points cannot be added to your card at a later date.
      Points can only be collected against purchases where a till and card reader is present.
      You can check how many points you have and also redeem points at any participating outlet. You can also check the number of Reward points you have collected on-line by visiting: https://rewards.sheffield.ac.uk/rewards.
      A Card can hold an unlimited number of rewqrd points.
      You will earn 5 Reward points for each complete GBP qualifying spend, so if you spend £1.99, you will accrue 5 points. We may however change the number of points you can collect and will display notices in the participating outlets, should that happen.
      You will only be able to redeem your Rewards points against future purchases made in relevant participating outlets and the cash redemption value of each Rewards point is 1 pence. The number of points used will be deducted from your Card.
      When using your points to make a part of full payment, all available points must be redeemed against the purchase.
      We will not exchange points for cash and reserve the right to remove from your Card any points that have not been redeemed for over 2 years.
      We reserve the right to reject any Cards which have become unreadable and also to refuse to redeem any points which have been acquired by theft, fraud or any other means which are not in accordance with these Terms and Conditions, and the terms and conditions of any applicable promotion.

    4. 3. General

      The University of Sheffield reserves the right to cancel or withdraw the card and or the reward point scheme for any reason at any time. We also reserve the right to amend these terms and conditions without prior notification.
      We will use or authorise the use of your information for the following purposes: to process your registration; to respond to your queries or requests; to administer your account and otherwise to undertake any of our obligations to you; to analyse your purchase history; and, only where your prior consent has been obtained, to send you details of products or services which may be of interest to you. In addition, in order to provide you with your card as well as other associated services, it may be necessary for your information to be passed to a third party that will assist The University of Sheffield in providing such services to you. If we do this, we will ensure that anyone to whom we pass your information treats your information with the same level of protection as would be provided by The University of Sheffield.
      It is your responsibility to advise The University of Sheffield of a change to your personal details.
      We control the personal data collected about you in relation to the card. As part of your application, you will be asked to provide various personal data including your name, email address and mobile phone number . You have the right to ask for a copy of any personal data we hold about you subject to the payment of a fee and adequate proof of identity. We will provide you with such details within 40 days of your request. You also have the right to require us to correct any inaccuracies in your information. Any queries regarding personal data we hold relating to you and, additionally, any requests for copies or rectification of such data should be sent in writing to the address below.
      We shall not be responsible or held liable for any default or event arising directly or indirectly from any cause or event beyond our control.
      We may transfer the benefits of these terms and conditions to a company in the same group as The University of Sheffield and if we do so, your rights will not be affected in any way.
      These Terms and Conditions are governed by English law and subject to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the English Courts.
